P7 Visit to BBC

P7 will be going to the BBC studios in Glasgow on Monday afternoon.  All students should have a packed lunch, those normally attending school dinners will have a packed lunch made up for them. Pupils will leave for the studios at 12.00pm and will leave to return home at 4.30pm. Traffic could be busy coming back from Glasgow at that time and so our arrival back at school will be dependent on this.

Please remember that pupils should wear clothing that has no visible logos as the BBC is very strict about having no brand advertising on their programmes.

Senses Experiment

Primary 5 have been learning about the 5 senses this week and conducted an experiment to find out just how good our senses are and the impact they have on our daily lives.

We had to identify what objects were hidden in the box using our sense of touch.

We used an eye test chart to test our sense of sight.

We had to use our sense of smell to figure out what was in the cups. One of them smelled really bad!

Using our sense of sound, we had to decide which audio frequency was the highest.

Finally, we used our sense of taste to determine what flavour the different plates of crisps were.

Our experiment was a great success, we would like to make some changes and try it again to make it even better.

Choir Performances

Amazing night at Johnstone Town Hall.

The children were fantastic. Well done to them all, I was very proud of them! Well done to Mrs Wilkie and huge thanks for all her hard work with the choir!
