Primary 6 and some of the boys and girls from the Nursery had a go at baking a Swiss roll. We used Fairtrade jam as our filling. It certainly was a sweet way to start off our Monday morning!

@AttainRen Primary 7 have recently begun using Maths Journals as a way to explore Maths concepts and ideas in more detail.  The class have ownership of their Journals and the way in which they choose to present the information is entirely down to them.  The pupils were really excited to share their knowledge of Area in their Maths Journals…we can’t wait to see what goes in them next!

Our 2 lucky Primary 3 winners attended the launch of the Inspire Art Show at The Tannahill Centre today. They were delighted to see their work included in the exhibition. Well done girls! If you wish to see some amazing art work head along, the exhibition is open til 15th April.

Primary 1 were learning to add more detail to their drawings this week. We used oil pastels to create wonderful self portraits.

Primary One were in the cooking classroom today.  We learned about hygiene and washed our hands before handling our food.  We worked on our slicing skills to create banana sheep using Fairtrade bananas.  We washed our chopping boards and knives and dried them for the next class to use.  We decided to create sheep as we were learning the ee sound this week.

Primary 1 started the Daily Mile this week.

Primary One started some yoga today! We are working through the alphabet.  Have a look at our aeroplanes, butterflies, cobras, dogs and the easy pose! Feel free to ask your children to demonstrate for you tonight!

We have been learning about volcanoes this week and even had the chance to watch a demonstration!  Thank you to everyone who brought in resources relating to volcanoes.

We are looking forward to our trip this term!  Can we remind you that letters and consent forms are due in this Friday? (1st March)
