Thanks to everyone who came along to Meet The Teacher tonight. It was great to meet so many parents. If you couldn’t make it along please look out for the presentations on the class web page.
Thanks to those who completed the survey. 100% found the evening useful and 100% preferred it to the previous format. Thanks for your feedback.
Primary 7 have loved visiting Elderslie Bowling Club for the past few weeks. They’ve been busy learning all about the rules of bowls and now know how to bowl properly. They’ll be taking part in a competition in the next few weeks when it’s Mrs Clydesdale’s class against Mr McGill’s class! We’ll keep you updated on their progress.
As part of their topic, Primary 4 have been learning about the United Kingdom and the countries within it. Today, the pupils were learning about the flags and capital cities of each country. They all worked very hard and produced brilliant work. Well done P4!
Primary 5 have been busy helping Primary 3 log into Sumdog for the first time. Sumdog is a great website for practising maths skills and it’s lots of fun! Primary 3 can’t wait to play it again.
I am delighted to share with you the details of our Meet the Teacher event to be held on Wednesday 6th September. In response to feedback from parents the format will be different this year with class teachers delivering a short informative talk about the year ahead. This will cover plans for the year as well as homework expectations. Talks will last around 10 minutes to allow parents with more than one child to move between classes.
Primary 1: 5pm
Primary 2: 5.15pm
Primary 3: 5.30pm
Primary 4: 5.30pm
Primary 5: 5.45pm
Primary 6: 6pm
Primary 7: 6.15pm
Following the Primary 7 talk there will be a presentation about the Loch Insh trip.
During the evening I will be hosting ‘Meet the Head Teacher’ in the hall. Tea and coffee will also be available. This is an ideal opportunity for me to meet as many parents as possible and enable parents attending more than one presentation to pass the time between meetings.
