Parental Survey

KEEP AN EYE ON SCHOOL BAGS FOR A SCHOOL SURVEY COMING HOME THIS WEEK….

As mentioned in my newsletter I am very keen to consult and find out as much as I can about the school and nursery. I am completely committed to the process of self-evaluation, leading to improved learning and teaching and provision of the best possible experiences for the children at Wallace.

To support this process I would be very grateful if you could spend a few minutes completing this feedback form based on your child’s experiences over the last few years. I understand it may be early days for new parents to the school therefore feel free to miss out questions if you feel it is too early to answer.

Once collated I will share the results with you and our plans for school improvement.

Thank you for your support.

Meet the Teacher

Dear Parents / Carers,

I am delighted to share with you the details of our Meet the Teacher event to be held on Wednesday 6th September. In response to feedback from parents the format will be different this year with class teachers delivering a short informative talk about the year ahead. This will cover plans for the year as well as homework expectations. Talks will last around 10 minutes to allow parents with more than one child to move between classes.

Primary 1:      5pm

Primary 2:      5.15pm

Primary 3:      5.30pm

Primary 4:      5.30pm

Primary 5:      5.45pm

Primary 6:      6pm

Primary 7:      6.15pm

Following the Primary 7 talk there will be a presentation about the Loch Insh trip.

During the evening I will be hosting ‘Meet the Head Teacher’ in the hall. Tea and coffee will also be available. This is an ideal opportunity for me to meet as many parents as possible and enable parents attending more than one presentation to pass the time between meetings.

I look forward to seeing you on the night.

Kind regards,

Mrs Susan Dalrymple

Awards at Assembly

We had a great time at assembly with the first red carpet winners of the year and the very first winners of the Head Teacher’s Award!

It was great to hear of the successes of our pupils in a variety of different ways. I feel very proud of the achievements of all our award winners today!

My First Week at Wallace

I have had a wonderful first week at Wallace Primary and Nursery Class. Thanks to all the staff and pupils for making me feel so welcome.

Today I had my first assembly with Primary 2 -7 and we explored being kind to others by filling our imaginary buckets with kindness and compliments and enjoyed singing a new song Build Up.

Next week we will have red carpet celebrations and Head Teacher’s Awards, look out on the website for the photographs.
