Cycling For P7

On Tuesday 15th June, PC Bruce Heron will be here to cycle along with the Primary 7s on-road. We have had some lovely comments from members of the community, who have seen our Primary 7 children cycling. PC Bruce would like to take some photographs next week. If you do not want your child photographed, can you please let the school office know as soon as possible? Many thanks.

P7-Raffle

Due to COVID restrictions, Primary 7 are currently unable to participate in our traditional Primary 7 excursions. As a result, we are planning to provide 3 days of fun filled activities and special experiences for the primary 7 pupils.  We will be having a raffle to help raise funds for this and some of our local businesses have very kindly donated some amazing prizes.  Thank you to all of them for their generosity.

Please read our letter for more information

Thank you for your continued contribution.

P7 Transition

A transition event for P7 pupils will take place in St. Andrew’s Academy on Monday 22nd June. P7 pupils will then have an opportunity to attend a session in St. Peter’s on Tuesday 23rd June.

On both days, sessions will last for approximately an hour and a half, and parents/carers will be required to drop off and collect their child.

You will be notified of your child’s allocated time as soon as possible.

Please contact the school if your child has any underlying health conditions.

Thank you.

Coding Club mini game jam

Our Coding club kids  spent a great day yesterday at West College Scotland participating in a Mini Game Jam. The children were asked  to design a game in a short space of time based on a given theme which they were only told at the start of the day. The theme was Space and our two teams created two very different games.

Thanks again to Dr Amanda Ford and her team for providing the opportunity for the kids.

P6 & P7 Cross Country

Yesterday some of our P6 and P7 boys and girls took part in the Renfrewshire Schools Cross Country in Renfrew. Well done to all who took part on such a blustery day. It was great to see our pupils cheering each other on.

Thank you again to our parent helpers for their support.

Getting ready to go:

Limbering up:

We’ve done it! Some of us look a lot happier than others!:

P7 are in stitches

P7 have recently taken part in some stitching workshops provided by The Paisley Thread Museum. For 3 weeks in January, Stephen, Maureen and Christine visited the school to teach the children some of the history of cotton in Paisley. The children then took part in a stitching workshop.  They created a design on a bobbin shape and  used an embroidery hoop and some basic stitches to embroider their design.
