🎙Podcast 🎙

Coming soon!
Primary 5 & 6 are beginning an exciting new project venturing into the world of podcasting! The children will work together with other cluster schools to visit a local podcasting studio, and plan our own school podcast. Our podcast will showcase learning across the school, as well as interviews from our pupil leadership groups, dates for the diary and fun school events.
Watch out for more information coming soon on dojo, where we will revela the name and logo of our school podcast!

💡Engineer Talk 💡

Today, Primary 4 -7 enjoyed an exciting STEM talk from Sean, an Industrial Quality Leader at Thales in Glasgow. He spoke to the class about energy waves, thermal imaging and the different career opportunities available within engineering. The children listened brilliantly and asked some fantastic questions!

🍫Scottish Truffles with Primary 4🍫

This morning, primary 4 had great fun making their Scottish chocolate truffles using the instructions they had written. The children developed skills in weighing, measuring and following a recipe. This was an activity the class had been really looking forward to and everyone enjoyed making and tasting their own truffles! 🍫

✨Scotland Showcase✨

Primary 6/7 invited parents and families along to their Scotland Showcase. The children performed a highland dance, a poem and walked around the walls with their families. The children then participated in a family learning activity. Thank you so much for everyone who attended to celebrate the learning.

🐟Clyde in the Classroom🐟

Primary 6/7 are participating in the Clyde in the Classroom project. They are currently growing Brown Trout in their hatchery that has arrived in their class. 200 fish eggs are now living there and they are looking forward to releasing them into the river at the Glennifer Braes when they are ready. They started this project with an information session at the Glasgow Science Centre.

⭐Young Leaders of Learning⭐

The Young Leaders of Learning (YLL) club plays an important role in helping to improve our school. The children listen to the views of other pupils, share ideas and work together to make positive changes. Last year their focus was on promoting positive relationships, which included working alongside Todholm Primary School. The pupils visited each others schools, shared ideas and learned from one another. This year the Young Leaders are working on implementing meaningful changes to further improve our school, supported by a newly recruited team who are keen to develop their leadership skills.

Christmas Choir 🎼 🎙

A massive well done to our Christmas Choir, who sang beautifully at Renfrewshire House today for the Lord Provost and councillors. You were an absolute credit to our school and represented us wonderfully. We are all so proud of you! 🎄✨

Thank you to Mrs. Duckett for preparing the children and to Miss. McNamara for taking the children.
