Primary 6/7 invited parents and families along to their Scotland Showcase. The children performed a highland dance, a poem and walked around the walls with their families. The children then participated in a family learning activity. Thank you so much for everyone who attended to celebrate the learning.
Primary 6/7 are participating in the Clyde in the Classroom project. They are currently growing Brown Trout in their hatchery that has arrived in their class. 200 fish eggs are now living there and they are looking forward to releasing them into the river at the Glennifer Braes when they are ready. They started this project with an information session at the Glasgow Science Centre.
The YoungLeaders of Learning (YLL) club plays an important role in helping to improve our school. The children listen to the views of other pupils, share ideas and work together to make positive changes. Last year their focus was on promoting positive relationships, which included working alongside Todholm Primary School. The pupils visited each others schools, shared ideas and learned from one another. This year the YoungLeaders are working on implementing meaningful changes to further improve our school, supported by a newly recruited team who are keen to develop their leadership skills.
A massive well done to our Christmas Choir, who sang beautifully at Renfrewshire House today for the Lord Provost and councillors. You were an absolute credit to our school and represented us wonderfully. We are all so proud of you! 🎄✨
Thank you to Mrs. Duckett for preparing the children and to Miss. McNamara for taking the children.
Thank you so much to Mrs. Phelps and Miss. Smith for our wonderful craft club. The children made different crafts over the course of a few months and worked together to create decorations for our Christmas celebrations.
Our school participated in a crib service. Some parents attended this. Well done to the children who participated through character and readings. Thank you to Mrs. McLean for preparing our children to showcase the Christmas message to our school.
