Social Studies

Learning in social studies enables children to develop an understanding of the world that we live in  and their place in this world. Children will learn about cultures throughout the world, including Scottish culture and history. This will allow them to appreciate Scotland’s place in the world and how society has developed in the past and how it will continue to progress.

Learning in social studies  take place in a variety of ways including working with partners in the community, active learning, inter disciplinary learning and outdoor education.
