Computers are used as an additional teaching and learning resource, intended to support, enhance and enrich the work which children undertake in the classroom. Computers are an integral part of the resources available to pupils of all abilities and capabilities and at all stages, beginning in P1. Various forms of technology is increasingly being used throughout the school to support activities in maths, language, environmental studies and in art and music.

By the end of their primary school years pupils will have acquired a wide range of IT skills from their experience of using word processors, databases, spreadsheets, graphic applications and applications. All pupils will benefit from experiences of the latest classroom technology in the form of interactive smart boards, laptops and iPads, which add a new dimension to teaching across the curriculum.
