Renfrewshire’s Early Language Project is a response to the national aim to reduce speech, language, and communication concerns for children under 5-years-old.
The national action plan and rationale can be found here:
National Early Language and Communication Project
A key part of the plan is consistent communication and interaction across all homes, nurseries, and other places families spend time. The national Chatting Together messages form the basis of this advice.

In Renfrewshire, our plan includes partners across education, health, social work, culture, and the third sector.
Over the next year, our early years establishments and other workforce partners will have access to training modules to support their practice considering: families, environment, identification, intervention, and workforce.
