On Tuesday, as part of STEM week we worked with our friends in Primary 5. Our challenge was to build something tall that could stand alone. We used our Engineering habits of mind to complete this challenge. We were resilient, curious, reflective and collaborated well with our team. We designed, made, then tested our creations.
We started to hear our class animal factfiles today. They were fantastic. The children spoke with confidence in front of the class. We also had a new member in our class for the day…… Mr Crocodile!!
Today we had a special visitor join our class. Our class meerkat has come all the way from South Africa to learn about our lives. The children were so excited to meet him. Our first pupil is taking him home tonight to visit their home. They should bring him back tomorrow and we will share his first adventure with the class. Pupils should take him home for 1 night and return him next day.
Today we were delighted to welcome Mr Rousseau to our class. He taught us about French culture and some French words for foods. The children had a fantastic time and learned a lot.
We had a wonderful day today. All the costumes and outfits were fantastic. Aaron was our costume winner for his homemade Horrid Henry. Well done. We can’t wait for you to see our cat in the hat artwork that we created today. It will be on display on our open day.
