You can answer a maximum number of 1000 questions set at your own level to help your class climb the leader board. Have fun while learning!

Junk Needed

Good morning,

Primary 2 are excited to start their new engineering project. Over the next few weeks they will be creating a Rainforest buggy out of a shoebox and other materials.

This is where we need your help. We are on the hunt for some junk modelling resources. Objects like cereal boxes or the cardboard centre of a kitchen roll, we can not accept the toilet roll versions, for obvious reasons.

Anything that can be recycled would be ideal!

Thank you for your continued support.

Homework – 28/02/22

Hello everyone,

We hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are ready for the new school week ahead.

Our spelling rule this week is:
“y”

These spelling words have to be written a further two times in your homework jotter.
1. dry
2. fly
3. try
4. cry

Common words
1. its
2. now
3. find
4. long

Challenge yourself to choose two words  and put them into  sentences.

Explore the world around you to find other words that use the “igh” spelling rule. We would love to hear these words in class or write them in your homework jotter or create a spelling poster.

All homework should be returned by Friday for your teacher to mark.

Maths

The maths homework grid should be attached to your homework assignment on TEAMS. Remember to only complete one activity a week, this can be repeated throughout the week as many times as you would like.

Please remember you have access to SUMDOG and can enjoy this at home. Any further advice required, please get in contact.

Reading

If possible you could discuss the content of the book. You could use the three sharings. For example: what you liked or disliked about the book, connections to the content of the book. Is there any questions you have about the book?

Many thanks

Rainforest Plants

Today the children learned about some wonderful and very interesting plants and flowers that grow in the rainforest.

The children have started to create their own versions of the plants using junk modeling. Over the next few weeks the class  will continue to work on them during free flow, if they wish.

Take a look at the start of our terrific Rainforest models and great team work.
