Our Butterflies room is based within the school building and is registered for 54 3-5 year olds. We have 9 Early Learning and Childcare Officers and 2 Early Learning Support Worker based in this playroom.
Within this playroom the staff use the Curriculum for Excellence to support the learning and development for all children. Our learning is play focused and child led. Within our 3-5 room the children are set learning targets across Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing. Children are encouraged to freely explore their environment. The child’s voice is important to us and we use this to plan child led learning and next steps.
