Thank you to everyone who bought 1kg of rice from P4 Fairtraders. We have sold all 90kg which means a child can go to High School for a year in Malawi. Enough money has been made by the farmer to pay the school fees.

P3 Nativity information
I realise that it is a few weeks since we sent home the letter regarding what P3 should wear so I hope you find the reminder below helpful.
P3 pupils make up the choir and provide percussion accompaniment at all four performances. This year we would like them to wear a “party” or smart outfit and a Santa hat if they have one. There is absolutely no requirement to buy anything new to wear, just something which they already have in their wardrobe.
Please note that our dress rehearsal to the rest of the school is on Wednesday morning so costumes should be sent in before then in a clearly labelled bag.
Many thanks for your assistance.

Storytime Swap
Let’s Read, Write, Count!
There was great excitement when P2 and P3 pupils received their Read, Write, Count bags at our special Book Bag Party today. They were joined by parents, grandparents and other family members who were invited into school to help share this special occasion. The bags are funded by the Scottish government and include books, counting games and activities to encourage reading, writing and counting skills and are an important part of our Book Week Scotland celebrations. Parents were very impressed by the high quality of the books and children loved exploring the contents of the bag with members of their family. This is a wonderful way to promote reading and learning at home and in school and we were delighted that so many parents were able to come along. Freya made excellent use of her new notebook!
