Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. Here is a rundown of your homework and reminders for this week.
Spelling: Units 27 and 34 should be completed for Friday. As always, each word should be written out three times and an uplevelled sentence should be written for each spelling rule word. Please remember to consider your VCOP in each sentence. This week we will be focusing on using more ambitious vocabulary in each sentence.
Reading: Over the next couple of days you will be choosing a new core reader to read at home. Your chosen book should be completed for Thursday 2nd March. There will be no written homework for this as all tasks will be completed in class. As always, if there is any vocabulary you are unsure of, please take a note of it and we will discuss it in class on Thursday.
Personal Reading Challenge: We now have 6 weeks of reading left. You have set yourself a personal target based on the number of books read last term and the aim is to reach it (or beat it!) before the end of term. Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during our ERIC sessions.
Please remember to record the books in your reading passport as you finish them. The passport is kept in class.
Listening & Talking: This term you have a solo presentation to complete. You now have 1 week to plan, organise and prepare your presentation as you will be presenting in class on Tuesday 28th February. Please click here to see the task sheet with all of the details required. If you require a paper copy of the task sheet, please ask.
Please remember that if you need to email me a PowerPoint or any photographs you wish to use in your presentation, you should do so by Friday as this will allow me time to check for any issues before Tuesday.
Maths: Please complete the word problems for your group by Friday. All workings should be shown and a sentence answer should be given for each question. Please use the links below to access your questions.
Your maths homework is being completed to a very high standard. Keep it up!
Please remember you may access the Multiplication and Division Trainer for extra practice if you wish. You can access the links below.
Music: Please practice the song we will be singing at the Community Cafe as much as possible. Lyrics to the song have been issued so you should be practicing at home whenever possible. Remember we want to be word perfect on the day. Please click here for the song.
- P.E. is on Tuesday and Friday . If you have not already done so, please ensure you have a P.E. kit in school.
- We will need a parent helper to come to the library with us on Tuesday. We will be unable to go if we cannot get anyone to help. Please click here for further details.
- We are hosting the Community Cafe on Wednesday. We are looking for 2 helpers. Please click here for further details. If someone is able to help, please let us know by leaving a comment on the blog or a note in your diary.
- Please remember if anyone at home is (or has been) linked to the River Clyde in any way through work, we would love to hear from them. Please click here for further information.
- Consent forms and money for our trip to the City Halls for the Ten Piece concert should be returned as soon as possible.
See you all tomorrow.
