This pupil group came to meet me to request a budget in order to create a Fairtrade tuck shop during Fairtrade Fortnight! They plan to ensure that the sale of their goods covers the costs. They will be baking using our new equipment too!

This month, all of the pupil groups have been working extremely hard, planning important events for the school to enjoy! Barsail Bloggers have been missing Mrs McAtasney but are still working hard with Miss Wylie! House Captains have been organising fundraisers and the talent team have been planning the Talent Show! Good Job Guys!
From the 27th February to the 12th March Barsail will be celebrating Fairtrade Fortnight.
Everyday this week, the children will be selling a selection of Fairtrade goods. All the money from these sales goes back to the farmers.
We have got some fantastic items available for the children:

Divine mini bars- 10p
Jelly Beans- £1.20
Dragon flies- £1
Batik fan- £2
Duck calls- £1
Friendsh bracelets- £1
Glass rings- £1
Metal hearts- £1.50
Monkey drums- £1.50
Sparkly boxes- £1
Sparkly pens- £1.50
These items will be available to buy in the mornings, playtime and beginning of lunchtime.
Remember if they bring in a Fairtrade snack over this fortnight they will receive a house point from our Fairtrade Friends!
