Primary 6 have been working really hard learning all about different types of functional writing. They are going to be completing an explanatory text next Wednesday on an area they are passionate about. They have been asked to research an area and be able to write a non-chronological report about on it which contains at least 6 subheadings. Some children have suggested themes such as:

Preparing for a new pet

or

Harry Potter.

They can use the Internet, personal books or the library to collect any information they require to be able to complete this but should ensure they are prepared and bring any information with them on Wednesday.
