Primary Seven had lots of fun creating Blitz Poems during writing! Here is a brilliant example, we hope you enjoy!
London is the place to be,
Everyone is feeling free,
Enjoying the peace and quiet,
Now it is just a riot.
The air raid siren was a shock,
Waking up the entire block,
I wanted to get out of here,
Because I knew the end could be near.
Our city was a mess,
The Nazis could do nothing less,
It was all Hitler’s desire,
Turning our city into fire.
The government said I need to go,
And stay there through the wind and snow,
I need to live with a stranger,
But at least I am not in danger.
Now I am living here,
And I have lost all of my fear,
I hope that you will be OK,
I must say, this has been a bad day.
