I Want the Luck

I WANT THE LUCK

Of a pheasant escaping my dog’s mouth with his razor sharp teeth his super
speed, his soft black fur, the soft paws and shiny brown eyes.

Like the metal heavy gun firing a 24 game bore bullet heading speedily towards a fox that got away just in time with its orange silky fur and scared squeal.

Of Mo ‘salah scoring top bins at Enfield and running past defenders all day winning golden boots and games like 5-0.

Like Max Verstappen racing round corner and around cars being lightning fast in pit lanes then getting back out and winning every race and trophy there is.

Of a lottery winner with one million pounds and buying houses and a 2021 Toyota Hilux in the colour matte black ten buying clothing and a new Xbox to play with my friends.

  1. You worked really hard to write this poem Roland, well done. I’d love a matte black Toyota Hilux if you have one going spare. 😉
