The Locked Box

She comes home from a long day of school runs upstairs and dumps her bag on her bed,
along with the happiness she had,
the people she once loved she places on the bed,
the warmth of her friends’ laughs and smiles =)
the good and bad memories, the past, she puts on the bed
the things she hates like Brussel sprouts  and the smell of freshly cut grass
she puts on her bed the people who are flying high in heaven
the memories of fights, the memories of crying,
and the memories of screaming she puts on the bed
her bed is almost full
she sighs hoping the stress that she puts on the bed won’t come after her again
she hopes the sadness she put on the bed won’t follow her around anymore
she hopes the happiness will stay but anger, stress, sadness go away
the weird but nice smell of car fumes, the nice smell of fresh cake coming out
of the oven, and the smell of the fast food restaurant called McDonald’s she
puts on her bed
the noise of her dogs barking when she walk in the door and the smell of their
fur she places on the bed
Her small dog, a Husky Collie Spaniel and and her medium sized dog, an
Australian Kelpie, she puts on the bed
and the girl she used to be selfish, hard to deal with, self absorbent and mean she puts away but not on the bed oh no she puts that in a box locks it up.
It goes under the bed
