A Loved One

I have not felt the soft fur of a wolf in Canada
but I have felt the fuzzy silky fur from my dog

I have not been on the Eiffel tower in Paris up high like the birds
but I have been on the Air Benders ride in Blackpool

I have not tried the soft cakes in different places the chocolate and cream donuts from the bakery
but I have tried my mum’s home made chocolate cake and cupcakes

I have not felt the warmth of the Australian sun
but I felt the warmth of my close friends and family

I have not felt the heart breaking sorrow of losing myself in the darkness of death
but I have felt the heart breaking sorrow of tears because of losing a loved one
