Dancing

I come from a small town not big nor round

I come from the grass that is now concrete

I come from my mum and the hospital bed I used to lie in

I come from the house that I moved away from

I come from the warmth that isn’t so warm now

I come from a family with all the fights

I come from a hospital where I saw the bright lights

I come from the winter and the warmth of July

I come from my soft brown bear me and my mum used to play with that is the memories I miss

I come from the room we sing in

I come from the nature I love

I come from a family that I was the only child in

I came from the bed I used to cry in now its just the bed I lie in

Dancing in moonlight underneath the stars,
laughing till the morning comes,
like we used to do
