Wendy Lane

I come from a hospital in Dallas Texas,
from an RV, and the laughter of me and my brother in the back,
from the preschool of my dreams, with amazing friends and no one could judge me.

I come from a 3-bedroom house,
a pantry where I would be too small to get the delicious treats at the top. I had a step stool that I still have to this day.

I come from horses in a barn,
from lovely neighbours who would give me ice lollies,
from Pay Way a Chinese restaurant with noodles and soy sauce and the fortune cookies.

I come from whole foods with bacon and egg burritos and chicken noodle soup,
from moving to Colombia where I met all my friends Lola, Emilia, Elisa, Camila, Caroline, Jeronimo, James, Vicente, Gregory
from six or seven hours in Colegio Gran Bretania,
with a one hour drive there and a one hour drive back.

I come from a concert with Lola where we ate burgers and Nutella crepes and we were so tired the next morning.
I come from Wendy Lane
a really long, flat, curvy road where I lived.
