I cannot remember the time I put a tic tac up my nose,
The cheer of my grandpa cheering on his last pick for the horse races,
I cannot remember the precious smile on my grandpa’s henry face so bold it stood out were ever he went,
I can remember the warm mice pies at my granny’s house,
The warm lunches for Christmas.
I can remember all the warm hugs of the lost ones
I can remember the priceless face on my granny Ellen’s face
that only one in a million could have.
I can remember the brilliant pillow fights in England
Eager to have one last hug, emotions are high but
At least some get to say good bye
