Emma O’Shea

Emma O’Shea is our Outdoor Education instructor at Breadalbane Academy. She has worked with the Nature’s Wood team right from the outset giving us instruction on:

  • how to lop branches safely to protect the trees
  • what Ash die-back is and why it has spread
  • how to remove trees affected with Ash die-back
  • how to plant trees and keep them protected
  • with her help we removed 100s of tree tubes, stakes, and other plastic waste from the space
  • how to safely use bow saws, tree poppers, loppers, saws, and secateurs
  • how to respect a wild space

We couldn’t have done the project without her support and guidance. So thank you Emma from all the pupils and especially from the teachers.
