Emma O’Shea is our Outdoor Education instructor at Breadalbane Academy. She has worked with the Nature’s Wood team right from the outset giving us instruction on:
- how to lop branches safely to protect the trees
- what Ash die-back is and why it has spread
- how to remove trees affected with Ash die-back
- how to plant trees and keep them protected
- with her help we removed 100s of tree tubes, stakes, and other plastic waste from the space
- how to safely use bow saws, tree poppers, loppers, saws, and secateurs
- how to respect a wild space
We couldn’t have done the project without her support and guidance. So thank you Emma from all the pupils and especially from the teachers.
