Welcome to Fairview School
We are proud to be a supportive, inclusive, and vibrant learning community where every young person is supported to reach their full potential. Strong partnerships with parents, carers, and a wide range of professionals are at the heart of everything we do, as we work together to provide the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
Our experienced and highly skilled staff team use a variety of approaches to engage, motivate, and inspire learners—creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel happy, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Fairview School is Perth and Kinross Council’s specialist provision for children and young people aged 2½ to 18 with severe, complex, and enduring additional support needs. We support learners with significant social communication difficulties, including those on the autism spectrum. Placement is made by the local authority in partnership with families, and children can begin accessing our nursery class before their third birthday to support a smooth home-to-school transition. Under the Additional Support for Learning Act (2009), parents/carers may also make a placing request, which is considered by a panel based on the child’s needs and the school’s capacity.
We work closely with neighbouring schools to foster an inclusive campus culture and are committed to building a community rooted in respect, collaboration, and shared understanding. This ethos enables us to offer meaningful, engaging, and personalised learning experiences for every pupil.
