Every effort will be made to keep our school open up to the point that doing so would involve unreasonable risk.  When the school is open parents will need to use their own judgement based on conditions where they live as to whether it is safe to send their children to school or not.  If you keep your child at home please contact the school as soon as possible to let us know. If your child uses the school bus please contact the bus company, Airport Travel, directly to find out if the bus is operating: their telephone number is 01382 220088.

If we have to close the school early whilst pupils are at school we will keep all children in school until we have contacted parents to come and collect them; we will phone you at home first but may also contact you at work.  If we cannot contact you we will call your emergency contact.  Please ensure you have given us up to date telephone contact numbers for you and your emergency contacts; and that your emergency contact lives close enough to come to school to collect your child in the event of an emergency or school closure.

In the event of snow or frost janitorial staff aim to clear one path from the pavement to the school in the morning before school starts; usually we do better than this.  However, it is in the nature of snow and frost that they are slippy and therefore great care should be taken by everyone on their journey to school in these weather conditions.
