Go for Gold and Celebration of Achievements Evening

Thank you to everyone who came along to our summer show and our Celebration of Achievements Evening!

The children were absolutely fantastic in their performance of their show Go for Gold! – A few budding actors and actresses to keep an eye out for in the future! Well done to all the children!!

This was followed by our special achievement awards for Responsible Citizen, Successful Learner, Confident Individual, Effective Contributor, The Joyce Armit Quaich, the Speakman Cup for Sport and Best Improved Reader.

Nursery Graduation

On Wednesday 29th June, seven children graduated from Nursery to Primary One.

A special ceremony took place in the Village Hall. Mums and Dads and the whole school came to see the graduation ceremony. We were also treated to songs on their topic, Space.

P6’s gave the children some advice about going into Primary 1.

Mrs Dawson and Mrs Russell presented the children with their certificates!

Well done Nursery…..See you next year!

Transition Days

The whole school moved on and up for two sessions last week when Primary 7 had their Transition Days in Crieff High School.

Nursery came into the P1/2 class to see and get used to their new classroom after the holidays and to meet their new classmates.

Mrs Gaskell met her new P3/4/5 class and Mrs Ross met her P6/7 class too.

Clothes Swap

A big thank you to the ladies of the Parent Council who arranged a Clothes Swap on Friday evening.

They even provided wine and nibbles, while you browsed the clothes donated and also ran a raffle.

Thank you for raising funds for the school!

All clothes that were not sold are being given to charity or being sent out to Malawi with Mrs Chalamanda.

Lunchtime Disco

One of our P5 pupils entered a competition and won a Disco, run by Tayside Contracts, to come to our school.

Expressive Arts Day

This week most of the P5/6 from both schools were away skiing.

On Tuesday the rest of Greenloaning joined Braco to have an Expressive Arts Day.

All the children were split into different age groups and enjoyed Fitness Training, Chinese New Year Art and Healthy Baking.

Braco 200 Mosaic

All the children of the school are helping to make a mosaic, which will hang on the school wall, celebrating Braco being 200 years old.

We can’t wait to see the final result. Watch this space!
