Burns’ Day Celebration

Today the school joined along with Greenloaning Primary School and celebrated Burns’ Day with all things Scottish.

The whole school were drummed into the hall by the P6/7 singing Scotland The Brave.

Mrs  Chalamanda lead the violin playing of different Scottish songs by children from P3-7.

Then there was the Scottish poetry competition winners from both schools reciting their poems. The Head Girl and Boy from Crieff High School had the difficult job of choosing class winners and overall winners of the Bobby Muir Cup from Braco and Greenloaning.

During the afternoon there was also singing  from P1/2/3, P4/5 and from Greenloaning. We were also treated to guitar playing and singing by boys from P4/5.

Congratulations to all the children who put on a wonderful show!

On Wednesday 1st July there was an Europa Cafe held at the school.

P4/5 ran a French themed cafe, while P6/7 ran a German one.

P1/2/3 provided the entertainment singing a couple of French songs.

Thank you to all parents and the wider community who came along and supported this event.

Well done to all the children who made the food, organised the event and served the food too!

Just to let you know P1/2/3, who were selling their potato recipe booklets, made £37 for school funds. Thank you!

Braco Street Party

On Saturday 20th June, the whole village was invited to a Street Party to celebrate Braco’s 200th anniversary along Feddal Road.

Everyone brought along a picnic. We were even entertained by the Romans and the sun shone!

During the afternoon there was also the unveiling of the fantastic mosaic at the side of the school, commemorating the anniversary of Braco.

In the evening there was an open mic session, a disco and a band.

We would all like to thank the organisers, Fiona Watson, Fiona Keillar and Linda Dawson  and everyone else who helped to make this a great day!
