Nursery Graduation

Today  at 11am it was the Nursery Graduation!

Mums, Dads, Granny and Grandpas all came to the Village Hall to see the Nursery Graduating!

Nursery performed songs to everyone and the P1-7 sang songs to the Nursery children.

The P6’s, who will  next year be the new P1 buddies, gave the children some advice about starting Primary 1.

Then there was a fabulous presentation of all the learning Nursery have been doing over the last two years.

Mrs Fridge then presented the Nursery children with their graduating certificates!

To show her appreciation of all the Nursery staff, Mrs Dawson presented flowers to all the staff.

Our French and German Morning

On the last day of term just before the Easter holidays, the whole school invited parents along to find out out what the children had been learning in French and German.

Parents watched videos, which the classes had made, showing songs and games they use to help them learn new vocabulary.

Everyone then joined together to have a selection of French and German foods for their breakfast. Thank you to Mrs Chalamanda who came along and made delicious waffles!

The morning ended with the children singing a few songs in French and German to the parents.

A wonderful morning to start us on our holidays!

Scottish Celebration

On Wednesday 25th. January the whole school came together for a Scottish Celebration.

Finalists from each class recited their Scottish poems and were judged by Reverend Perkins and Mr T, our Nursery student.

Each class had a class winner and from one of the winners, our P7 class winner won the Bobby Muir Cup.

Children played guitars with Mr Bulley and violins with Mrs Chalamanda.

Each classed performed on stage. P1/2 sang  a Scottish song, P3/4/5 played Scottish ball and skipping games and P6/7 acted out the Gruffalo in Scottish dialects.

Thank you all the parents, grandparents and friends who came along and supported the children this day.
