We explored our new reading books today. Remember these books don’t go home, but I’ve allocated some more independent texts on ActiveLearn.

We made characters and settings and told stories together.

We enjoyed some fun activities for World Book Day today.

We looked at the journey of chocolate and tasted some fairtrade chocolate. We chose our favourites and recorded the results on a bar chart.

We worked together to create fairtrade posters  to share what we have learned about fairtrade.

We were exploring the two times table using groupings today.

We were learning about the Jewish celebration of Purim and the story of Esther. We made masks to celebrate Purim.

Sumdog are running another North Lanarkshire Maths Competition.

It runs from 8am  on  Friday 26th February to 8pm the following Thursday – but you can play at any time during this period.

If you are able try to have a go at answering the 1000 questions by next Thursday.

Scores are based on accuracy, and questions tailored to each pupil’s level – so everyone has a fair chance.

There are virtual rewards for taking part and certificates and prizes for the winners.

We were revising our knowledge of 2D shapes and started to draw the shapes using a ruler. We then made shape pictures using the shapes we had learned about.

As part of our learning about fairtrade we were talking about what fairness is and describing fair and unfair scenarios.
