This afternoon we did some fun activities for Halloween.

We used the paint program in ICT to create Halloween pictures. We had to control the mouse to make our pictures.

This morning we were identifying wow words in a story that could help us with our writing.

Reading

• The Boy who (nearly) Had Everything – Ch 1-3
• Sam and the Tadpoles – whole book
• The Foggy Day – whole book

Sounds – ie making the I sound – fried, lie, tie, diet. Explore other letter patterns that make the I sound.

In writing today we started our spooky stories. We used our picture plans to write about the setting.

We have been practising our typing skills in ICT. We used dance mat typing to try touch typing then opened a word document and tried typing and changing the size and font.

We had fun in the Learning Zone this morning. Some of the areas had a Halloween theme 🎃.

Reminder

Our PE days are Monday and Thursday.  To get maximum time with the coach on a Thursday children can wear PE bottoms (leggings or tracksuit bottoms) with their school polo-shirt and trainers to school on Thursday.
