In the Learning Zone on a Friday we have free choice where to go and we can move areas. It is good because we  have lots of fun playing with different people.

In number we are learning about money to help us with our Christmas enterprise. We used think, pair, share to help us think about the value of different items.

Last week children were given a Read, Write , Count bag to explore. It contains books, writing materials, story cards and number dice. This week we are not giving out new reading books in P3 instead use the materials in your bag. If you want to share anything you have done please feel free to bring it into class.

Congratulations to P3 who were 13th in the Sumdog contest out of all the classes in North Lanarkshire!

We had a fantastic day for Children in Need. Thank you for all the donations.

Reminder tomorrow is Children in Need.  We have been learning in class about the charity and who it helps.

Children can come to school wearing something spotty or yellow – they can pay a £1 donation  for not wearing their uniform. All money raised goes to Children in Need.

We were  using Sumdog to work on our maths skills in ICT today. This week is Sumdog’s Maths Contest so we were trying hard to get as many accurate answers as possible. If possible remember to play Sumdog at home to help our class position on the leaderboard.

Today we were learning about Remembrance Day and about its symbol the poppy.  We made collage poppies using tissue paper.

We were having good fun playing and learning this afternoon in the Learning Zone.
