As today is pancake day and it is Fairtrade Fortnight we made Fairtrade banana pancakes 🥞 in the kitchen. We then used our writing skills to write the recipe.

Fairtrade Fortnight
Today is the first day of Fairtrade Fortnight. We played a game in class to colour in the Fairtrade symbol. We talked about whether the game was fair and how we felt when it was fair and unfair.

We have been exploring wow words in our reading books. Pick out wow words and practise spelling by reading, covering, writing and checking.
Working Together
We have been exploring the skill working together this month. We worked in our groups to sort the positive and negative impact of deforestation in the rainforest.
Position and Movement
We continued developing our maths skills linked to position and movement by programming the Bee-Bot to follow our directions.
Maths
In Maths today we were exploring position by looking at grid references.

Congratulations to all our fantastic performers who took part in Woodlands Got Talent 2020.

Well Done to both these primary threes for their achievements in athletics and dancing.
NSPCC Assembly
Thank you to the NSPCC who talked to us this morning with Buddy and spoke to us about the message ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’. We then made posters in class to remind others of this important message.
