Warm Up

  • Practise counting on and back in 2’s, 10’s, 5’s 4’s and 3’s.
  • You can say your numbers aloud or write them down.

 

Main Task

Watch ‘In a World Without Maths’ video that help explains array patterns.

Draw the array patterns to find the answers to these times table questions.

  • Use objects you have around the house e.g lego, marbles, coins.
  • Create your own array patterns using the objects you have and count to check answers.

 

Literacy

Warm Up

  • Think of as many characters from stories as you can.
  • Draw, write or find images online.

Main Task

Create your own character

  • Watch this video to help you think about how to create your own character.
  • Draw your character and use adjectives to describe your character.
  • Think about their name, setting, appearance, job, clothing, likes and dislikes.
  • Use your character plan to write a story about your character.Fun Finisher
    • With someone at home play ‘Who am I’.

     

  • Use the characters you thought of in the warm up or any new ideas.
  • Think of a character – either put it on a post it and stick it on the person who is guessing’s forehead or just think of the character.
  • The person with the post it asks questions but the answer can only be yes or no.

  • Use the topmarks website to read ‘All About Spring’.
  • Use the sidebar to explore the different sections.

Main Task

  • Take notes by choosing the Very Important Points.
  • Use bullet points to organise your notes.
  • Create a fact file using your VIPs.

This is an idea for a fact file but you can choose your own headings or use ICT to record your VIPs.

 

Fun Finisher

  • Create a quiz about Spring.
  • Try it out on someone at home.
