Number hunt – Look around the house – record all the different numbers you can find.

Look at the numbers you have found and identify the number before and after.

Look for contractions in books, magazines etc you have at home.

Be careful apostrophes are also used in words to show belonging e.g Katy’s phone these are not contractions.

Main Task

Split these contractions into two words

e.g  I’m = I + am

Combine these contractions – take care to position the apostrophe at the missing letter(s).

e.g I + am = I’m
