Subtraction Wednesday

Today we are going to do some work on our subtraction skills.

Remember there are lots of words that mean subtraction – have a look at the picture below to remind you…

Warm Up:

• Watch this funny video all about subtraction

Main Activity:

• Answer these subtraction problems in your jotter. Remember, when you are subtracting you have to count backwards…the number always gets smaller.

• Take the biggest number then subtract the smaller number from it.

• Primary 1’s: can you start from 30 and write your numbers back to 0?
