Happy Tuesday to everyone. Did you find many signs of summer on your scavenger hunt yesterday? I spotted lots of butterflies!   Here are today’s lessons for you.

Writing Tuesday

10 Reasons I Love Writing | Emma Walton Hamilton

Today is the day we do some work on our writing 📝 .  Remember it doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to spell a word – just sound it out and try your best to write it 🤩.

Warm up:

  • Start today by writing the alphabet in your jotter –  try and use your neatest handwriting
  • Make sure you remember tall, fall and small letters
  • You can choose to practice writing lowercase letters, uppercase letters or both!

Upper and Lower Case Letters Worksheet / Worksheet, worksheet

Main Activity:

  • Look at the picture below.  Talk about it with someone at home. Think about these questions:
What is the weather like?
Do you think they are friends?
What are they doing?
Do you think they are having fun? How do you know?
Where might the children be playing?
What do they need to remember if they are in the sun?
  • Write about the picture using sentences.  Say your sentences out loud before you write them and read them back to make sure they make sense
  • Remember capital letters, finger spaces and full stops
