Monday Literacy Lesson

 Morning p1/2. I hope you had a nice weekend – it was so nice to see the sun! I have seen lots of rainbows on peoples windows when I have been out a walk….they all look great!

Phonics Monday

Today we are going to be learning all about the digraph ‘wh’.

Warm up:

  • Watch these two YouTube clips all about wh:

  • In your jotter write some words with wh in the word e.g  wheel what, when, etc.
  • Write a sentence with a wh word in it. Remember a capital letter, full stop and finger spaces in your sentence.
  • Draw a picture to illustrate your wh sentence.

Extra Challenge:

  • How many wh words can you write in one sentence e.g. The whale’s whiskers went white when he whispered.
