P5/6 are focussing on multiplication in Maths and practising their tables, working out ways to help them remember and finding links between the tables. One way we have been practising is creating games for the table weβre finding tricky.
We were learning about Remembrance Day on Friday.
We have created a class poppy wreath display, created some poems which some of us were so proud of, we have put them into our showcase jotters. We also created Poppy biscuits. We were focusing on having a role within our group, the importance of hygiene and listening carefully to instructions and following them.
We have been looking at different sources of evidence including photographs, quotes and newspaper reports to learn about the discovery of Tutankhamunβs tomb. We have created diaries from the perspective of Howard Carter.
P5/6 have began our new topic of Yoga and movement. We acted out how little red riding hood characters would walk, feel and be protraying themselves. We also began our breathing techniques and yoga pose which we re-called the wolf.
Today P5/6 began their mini topic of emotions. We are going to be focussing on our feelings and linking it to the film Inside Out π₯.
We brainstormed all the feelings we could think of and then categorised them in to positive feelings, negative feelings and found some that depends on the situation.
We then categorised feelings under the 5 characters from inside out: Sadness, Joy, Anger, Disgust and Fear.
We began designing our art piece which will express and show our feelings through shape, line, pattern and colour.
Miss Park canβt wait to see the finished pieces! ππ€©ππΌπ
