The kids have loved being back to school and spending time getting to know each other. Have a great weekend, Iβm really excited to see you all next week!
Literacy novel projects π¨ π
We have been working very hard using our creative and artistic skills to construct and transform boxes, cardboard and various materials to design an object from our latest reading novels. Some of us have created boats, hotels, cottages, caves, lie detectors and buses! Miss Park was very impressed with our creative ideas π‘ π.
Homework
P5/6 have been given a handout activity sheet to complete related to their maths topic of Time.
All homework completed from now on should be handed in for Friday 22nd June to collect dojo points and house points for the signed sheet.
Remember P6βs bring in denim bottoms (jeans, skirts, shorts or black bottoms).
P5βs should bring in black skirt, shorts, trousers/joggers or leggings (or any blue bottoms).
All show outfits should be in for this Friday, Monday 17th at the very latest as the show is on Tuesday. T-shirts are provided for all children.
P5/6 have been identifying 12 hour time and working out the equivalent 24 hour digital time.
We have also started putting our model plan in to action from our latest reading novel. Can you guess what we are making? They are from the novels: The Santa Maria, Kaspar Prince of Cats, Lie Detector and Bunk Bed Bus.
P5/6 have been looking at 3D shapes and learning to discuss their properties. We create 3D shapes from their nets.
P5/6 have been practising and developing their dribbling and passing skills using control.
P5/6 enjoyed helping P2/3 during reading buddies on Friday. We read with them and then helped tidy up and were good role models!π
P6/7 and P7 Art Show π¨
P5/6 thoroughly enjoyed looking at P6/7 and P7βs art work. Our class thank them for inviting us and said it was βabstract, colourful and talented workβ. Β βWe loved it!β
Health work and New βLightβ topic π‘ βοΈ
We have been discussing our emotions and how they can be positive and negative and both are important. To showcase our understanding so far we have been creating posters for our Health wall.
We are beginning our new topic about light and have brainstormed what we already know and questions that we want to find out the answers to during our topic.
Homework
Reminder: Homework grids for term 3 have been issued to all pupils. Pupils should bring in their chosen completed piece of homework every Monday to receive dojo points and house points. Some activities will be issued once that area has been taught this term and Sumdog challenges will be allocated for dojo points too. Letβs see who can earn all of the points up for grabs! π
