Today we enjoyed being outside in the sun for pe, our daily mile and some of our topic work ☀️

Primary 5 have been learning about persuasive advertising . Today we looked at examples of adverts from endangered animal charities and created our own animal organisations in pairs. We are making posters with our organisation names and slogans 😊🐅

We’ve been doing lots of maths and revising place value. Today primary 5 were rounding in 1000’s and trying some problem solving questions 😊

Everyday we start with an independent starter task to think about some things we’ve been learning throughout the week 😊 Today Primary 5 wrote down some facts we’ve learned about endangered animals and shared them with the class 🐘

After maths and literacy today we had some outdoor PE where we worked together to try different movement techniques and practised long jump. We also spent time this afternoon talking about our rights.

This morning was the first online school assembly where we found out this weeks start pupil, well done Poppy for staying safe in school and treating others kindly! 🌟

Today we looked at Article 3 of the UNCRC’s ‘Rights of the Child’ and discussed that adults do what is best for us. We spoke about what adults do to keep us safe. We looked at different people who keep us from harm safe such as family, teachers, police, doctors, firemen etc. We then worked in partners to look at some scenarios to find all possible dangers and risks.

Today primary 5 used their most dramatic voices to read our bug club story to the class. We then tried some role play, thinking about questions to ask Odysseus and Scylla 🌊

Today we started our animal topic. We are looking at endangered animals and what we can do to help them 🦏

Today we had some creative writing time for the theme ‘The Monster’. There were so many amazing stories and everyone really enjoyed this activity 😊 Have a great weekend!

This afternoon we had some outdoor drama thinking about themes of sadness, uncertainty, friendship and joy as part of our emotions topic. It was lots of fun!😊
