Primary 7’s were issued with a form to complete for their Young Scot Cards. If you haven’t already done so these need to be returned to the school office by Wednesday 11th November to ensure they are collected on time.
Thank you

A quick reminder that Flu vaccinations will take place in the school this Thursday, 5th November. Children have watched a video in class and assembly which showed them what to expect and we all discovered that it looks easy!
If you want to prepare your child further in advance of these vaccinations on Thursday why not visit FLU for more information.

On Tuesday 3rd November, fire fighters from our local station will visit the Primary 6 pupils to speak to them about Firework/Bonfire safety. I am sure this will, as always, be a very informative, interesting and worthwhile.
To help you discuss Firework/Bonfire safety with your child/children at home why not visit these websites:
Why not let someone else do all of the hard work and pay all of the costs. Attend the Fireworks display at St Maurice’s High School on Wednesday 4th November! For more information click here.

A huge thank you to the Parent Council for organising and running a fantastic Halloween Disco last night. A fantastic time was had by all! Thanks too to all of the teachers for giving up their time to attend, help out and join in with the dressing up! For pictures of the event go to our twitter page here.
A special mention of thanks too to Davy for running the disco this year and for many years before. He has a new job so won’t be able to do our discos anymore but we wish him all the best in his new job and he leaves with our and the Parent Council’s massive thanks for all of the support he has given the school over the years. Come back and see us soon Davy!

Tomorrow, Mr McCrorie and Mrs Thomson will let the boys and girls in P3-P7 know who has been chosen to have acting parts in this year’s Nativity, ‘Straw & Order’.
We are all so very proud of all of the children who auditioned, all 97 of them! Each and every one of them did fantastically well! Unfortunately some children won’t get a part as there was only 47 to give away but every person who auditioned did themselves, their families and the school proud and they all will receive House Points tomorrow.
Thanks very much from a very proud Mr McCrorie and Mrs Thomson
