S3 Physics
Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Your tasks for this week have been posted on Teams. You have to look through the following presentation and make your own notes as necessary. Complete page 14 and 15 in your problems booklet. Insert your photos into your personal section of the class notebook.
S3 Biology
Good morning S3 pupils. We hope you are all well. All of the Biology teachers have been impressed by your efforts recently. We know that the past paper questions were very time consuming, but they are so beneficial. There’s 3 weeks left until the summer holidays We want you to try to spend this time ensuring your knowledge of Unit 3 “Life on Earth” is top notch.
For this week’s work we would like you to do the 3 things below: 1) Click on the link at the bottom of this post to see our Virtual Biology Lab. You may need to download the Virtual Lab pdf before you can use the links in it. There, you will find all of the Biology teachers We want you to click on the news article on the whiteboard (you may need to hold ctrl + click the link for it to take you to the website), and just read it (you don’t have to do anything else, just read it). On the teacher’s desk, there is a BBC bitesize link that will take you to the page for Unit 3. This link will help you to do parts 2 and 3 below.
2) Click on the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guides/z2vjrwx/test – BBC Bitesize Ecosystems and do the 10 questions, then check your results.
3) Finally, to test your knowledge on Ecosystems we want you to answer the 16 questions in the the first Unit 3 which can be found in Teams(Unit 3 K.A. 1) IF YOU WANT TO, YOU CAN WORK THROUGH THE OTHERS TOO!
REMEMBER, your answers need to be SUBMITTED by this Friday 12th June by 3pm. Your teacher will be looking at your answers/results. If you need any help with the questions, why not use the BBC bitesize link in the Virtual Biology Lab, or one of the Biology teachers will be happy to help on here. Good Luck!
S1 & S2 Pupils
Hi everyone, we hope you and your families are all well. Over the next 2 weeks we would like you to focus on a Biodiversity task that has been posted on Teams and Edmodo. Please ask if you need help. We are looking forward to seeing some of your work. Take care and stay safe.😊🌈
S3 Physics – Reminder
Log into Teams and complete the quiz which is on resistors (series, parallel and combinations) and Power. If you haven’t looked at information on the last two assignments, have a look at them first. These are in the files area, along with the relationship sheet within Teams. This is due to be completed tomorrow. Good luck!

Pupil Work
Here is some more of the excellent work our pupils have been submitting this week. Well done to everyone who is attempting all the tasks set. Make sure you are checking Teams and Edmodo for what has to be completed.
S1 & S2 Science
Good morning all, I hope everyone enjoyed the lovely weekend. Here are some activities for you to complete this week. This is slightly different to the previous weeks, you can select the topics in each task!
Task One:
Have you got some of these material at home to complete one of these challenges? (Please DO NOT go out to buy material for the experiments, #stayhomesavelives) Try out some of these challenges, send us a photo or video of it and tell us how it went. Maybe you want to master your showmanship by trying out the balloon kebab? or you want to be the next 007 by leaving secret messages with invisible ink?

Task Three:
The PE department has given you a fitness booklet to work on. The challenge from Science is for you is to upload a photo of you exercising and tell us which muscle group you are using. You can doodle on the photo if you want.
Task Four:
We know that you guys are very creative, have you ever heard of stop motion animations? Wallace and Gromit? Pingu? These are just some examples! You can use anything, flowers, action figures or bits of paper. You start by taking a photo, move the objects slightly, take another photo and repeat so that when the photos are played one after another, it looks like your object is moving. The more photos you take, the smoother the animation. We look forward to seeing the amazing videos you will produce. Find the app here: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/stop-motion-studio/id441651297

Maybe you can tell us a story? Say thank you to the NHS?
We look forward to seeing all your creations, send them in!
