Higher Spanish
This week we are working on the topic of marriage and the role of women. Please complete reading tasks “El matrimonio y el divorcio’ and ‘El papel de la mujer” in Society folder on Teams. We are also continuing to practice the use of preterite and imperfect tenses. “Preterite or imperfect- revision & exercises” task in Directed Writing folder should be completed. Speaking questions on family issued last week should be completed by Friday.
National 5 Spanish
National 5 classes are currently undergoing Reading AVU assessments on “La Vida Sana’ topic and preparing for AVU talk which will take place after the September Weekend. All resources to help revise and prepare for talk are in files section of National 5 Team under La Vida Sana AVU.
If you are self-isolating please email your prepared presentations and questions to your teacher to be corrected.

S2 classes are starting “Vivimos en Europa” topic this week, learning to talk about your house and where you live. Begin to work through “Mi Casa y mi pueblo” (S2 Spanish Team, Files, Class Materials, Vivimos en Europa).
Mrs Jackson’s class should complete work from S1 Revision folder before moving on.
S1 Spanish
This week S1 are working on “En la mochila” topic, learning about what you have in your schoolbag. Work through slides in “Bienvenidos” Powerpoint (S1 Spanish Team, Files, Class Materials, Bienvenidos) and complete worksheets in “En la mochila’ folder.
S3 Group 2 (Mrs MacDonald’s class)
This class should continue writing their reflective essay in their red writing jotter. They should take time when they have finished their essay to edit their writing and correct any errors in spelling and punctuation. They should also identify anywhere they can add thoughts and feelings and add these to the essay.
They should also ensure they have five similes or metaphors and five examples of good word choice in their writing. Both should be identified and underlined in their writing.
Anyone who is finished can undertake the 2011 Close Reading paper in their pink jotter. This paper can be found under files in the MS Team.
S5/6 N5 English
Pupils should work through the RUAE Powerpoint in preparation for an RUAE assessment on Monday 5th October. The PPT will be available on MS Teams later this morning.
