S2 English

Pupils will continue preparing for their spoken presentations on ‘Desert Island Discs’. After practicing their presentations skills in class and individual talk cards have been written up, pupils will present their talk in front of their class.

Milestone 2  and Desert Island Discs PPT’s are  available on MS Teams.

S3 English

Pupils will continue working through the RUAE textbook which can be found on Teams in the ‘Textbooks’ folder under ‘Files’. After working through Chapter 2 on ‘Genre’, pupils will begin looking at ‘Working with Newspapers’ in Chapter 3.

S5/6 Nat 5 English

Pupils will sit their RUAE assessment on Monday during class. We will then begin to look at how to plan and write our first folio piece in Personal Reflective Writing.
Pupils will be asked to consider an experience or event to write about and will work through examples of this writing on the Powerpoint slides on Teams.

S4 English – N5

Finish the powerpoint on “A Hanging” this week then look at the 2019 paper which is on files and choose one critical essay question from the prose section.  You should then plan and write your critical essay and hand it to your teacher when you return.

S1 English

S1 are working on the “Spit Nolan” block.  Any pupil who is self-isolating or sick should finish the powerpoint in their purple jotter over the course of this week.

Higher English

This week we will have our first RUAE assessment.  If you are self-isolating/sick please ensure you speak to your teacher upon your return to arrange this.  We will also be starting “A Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde.”  You should start to read the novella which is in files.

S4 Nat 5 English

Pupils will continue to work through “A Hanging” Powerpoint. Complete all tasks, working towards annotating the text and writing a critical essay.

S1 English

Once presentations are complete, S1 will move onto “Spit Nolan” appearance and personality visualisers.
