Classes will continue working through the Creative Unit Powerpoint on MS Teams in preparation for their Folio Piece. Please check your teacher’s individual channel on Teams for relevant updates and guidance.
S4 N5 English
Miss Murphy’s class are working on Chapter 4 of the Folio Skills books which is in files on MS Teams.
Miss MacPhail’s class are working through the chapter on Personal Reflective writing and then writing their essay which should be 1000 words or less.
Miss Sullivan’s class are revising “A Hanging” and preparing a critical essay which is due on Thursday 12th November.
Mrs McDonald’s class are writing a critical essay on “A Hanging”. Once completed, use the RUAE textbooks in Files on MS Teams and work through chapter 6 which starts on p48.
S5/6 N5 English
Classes will begin studying the play ‘Sailmaker’ by Alan Spence this week. Pupils who are self-isolating should work through the PowerPoint on MS Teams which can be found under ‘Class Materials’ in Files.
A reminder that the Personal Reflective Essay is due 9/11/20. This can be emailed to your class teacher.
S3 English
Once pupils have completed their Advertising Unit, they should begin working on the RUAE Practice paper on Tourism. This can be found on MS Teams in the RUAE text book which is in ‘Files’ under ‘Text Books.’ The paper is on p74-75 of the book and questions should be completed in pink jotters.
S2 English
Classes will finish writing their 500 words story this week on the theme of “Hidden Talents'” – materials are in files on MS Teams. Once stories have been written in RED jotters pupils should get a different coloured pen and start editing their stories. As well as reducing errors they should try to improve language by adding similes, metaphors, colour, the weather and using the five senses for description.
S1 English
Pupils will continue to work through the Hallowe’en Unit this week. This can be found in Files on MS Teams.
1.1-1.3 classes should start working on the Creative Writing unit on creation of character which is in Files on MS Teams.
Higher Spanish
This week we will complete Directed Writing Sample 3 from the booklet. Pupils should attempt to write their own essay closed book. We will also be revising the Conditional tense from the grammar booklet.
National 5
National 5 classes should be continuing to work through Learning powerpoint and booklet. Classes should also be working on learning Job Application vocabulary from the Directed Writing folder.
S2 Spanish
This week S2 are working on vocabulary related to what activities they do in their bedrooms. Vocabulary and tasks can be found on Donde Vives PowerPoint as well as additional worksheets in Vivimos en Europa folder.
S1 Spanish
This week S1 will be doing Reading and Writing assessments on the topic of Bienvenidos. Pupils should revise topic at home using resources in Files and vocabulary in jotters. Anyone absent this week will catch up on assessments upon their return to school.
