S3 Spanish

Pupils have been given 2 quizzes which they should all be able to attempt. They will also continue to work on materials for “Jobs and the Future”. They have a helpsheet to complete 1 task and they will all be encouraged to attempt work not submitted in the past 2 weeks.

S2 Spanish

This week pupils should complete slides 66-69 in “En el pueblo” PowerPoint on Teams. Pupils will also be assigned a quiz to complete on “Quizziz” website, to revise the topic to date.

S1 Spanish

This week pupils are working on worksheets to develop Reading and Writing Skills on the topic of Family and Pets. Pupils are also practising vocabulary with Linguascope.

S1 – Burns Work

S1 will this week be working on our legendary Burns Unit.  To mark last week’s Burns day and the birth of our national poet S1 will be learning about the poet, his work and how we celebrate him in the 21st Century.  This unit has been adapted by Mrs Burton to suit online learning with a wide range of research and videos tasks which will be highly beneficial to students as they develop their research skills.   All assignments should be submitted to teachers using the assignments tab on MS Teams.

 

 

S5/6 N5 English

This week, pupils are revising characterisation and themes in Sailmaker in preparation for possible 8 mark questions in the Textual Analysis paper.

Higher English

Mrs Nelson’s class will be continuing to work through Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. They will read Chapter 9 and work through the tasks on Teams.

Miss MacPhail’s class are practising their summarising and analysing skills on Chapters 7 and 8 of Dr Jekll and Mr Hyde.

Ms MacDonald’s Higher class will be starting Chapter 6 0f Jekyll and Hyde this week and also revising Critical Essay. The work will all be in Files on Teams.

S4 N5 English

Miss MacPhail’s class are continuing their work on Act 2 of Sailmaker and will take part in a live tutorial where the focus will be analysis.

Miss Sullivan’s class are also continuing work on Act 2 of Sailmaker, particularly the ending. They can also attend a live tutorial on Tuesday to discuss any issues or questions about the work.

Ms MacDonald’s National 5 class will continue to work through the PowerPoint on Sailmaker, Act One. We will have a live tutorial on Tuesday at 9.30am for anyone who wants to ask any questions.

S4 N4 English

This week, pupils are continuing with their Added Value Unit. Detailed instructions can be found on MS Teams.

Mr Kedra’s S3 English

S3 Pupils are writing the first three paragraphs of their discursive essay, “knife crime”. Pupils are to use their notes, online sources, and their own point of view to convince the readers of the seriousness on the topic.

Pupils are provided with all the resources and PPT in the files on MS Teams.
