This week S1 pupils will be planning their own Burns supper from start to finish, thinking about: food, drink, entertainment and music.
Higher English
Ms MacDonald’s Higher Class will continue with Chapters Six and Seven of Jekyll and Hyde, the PowerPoint is in Files in the General channel. A reminder that a critical essay on”War Photographer” is due for Friday.
Miss MacPhail’s Higher class are continuing their work on “Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Pupils are starting to work on Chapter Eight and will be practising their analysis and summarising skills.
Mrs Nelson’s class will continue working through “Dr Jekyll and Mr.Hyde”, undertaking tasks on Chapter Nine.
S4 N5 English
Ms MacDonald’s S4 class will continue to work on Act 1 of Sailmaker. They should be able to finish this by the week after the February break.
Miss MacPhail’s S4 are continuing their work on Sailmaker by looking at how the characters and their relationships develop in Act 2. Pupils will have a live tutorial on Thursday.
Miss Sullivan’s S4 will continue work on Sailmaker and will look at themes in Act 2. Pupils will then look at how to answer the Textual Analysis paper.
S4 N4 English
This week S4 National 4 pupils will continue working through their Added Value Unit.
S5/6 N5 English
This week, pupils are catching up with work on Sailmaker and then will move onto a new short story unit, ‘The Lighthouse’.
S3 English Mr Kedra’s class
Pupils are to catch up completing all three paragraphs as soon as possible.
Pupils should then move on to planning paragraph four: “Showing how it affects victims, perpetrators, parents of victims and all of society”.
S3 English
This week S3 are finishing writing their persuasive letter on environmental issues and will spend time editing this before final submission to their teacher. Pupils will be asked to make sure their final piece adheres to the success criteria checklist on the Persuasive Writing Powerpoint.
S2 French
S2 pupils should continue with their desert island project. Pupils should complete the week 2 tasks based on French food and restaurants. Use slides 3-6 of S2 French project PowerPoint on Teams.
