Finish the powerpoint on “A Hanging” this week then look at the 2019 paper which is on files and choose one critical essay question from the prose section. You should then plan and write your critical essay and hand it to your teacher when you return.
S1 are working on the “Spit Nolan” block. Any pupil who is self-isolating or sick should finish the powerpoint in their purple jotter over the course of this week.
This week we will have our first RUAE assessment. If you are self-isolating/sick please ensure you speak to your teacher upon your return to arrange this. We will also be starting “A Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde.” You should start to read the novella which is in files.
“Stone Cold” is now available on MS Teams for anyone who needs it to access the materials.
This class are working on the novel “Stone Cold” by Robert Swindells. Mrs Nelson will add tasks to the PPT today (Tuesday) students should continue to work through the tasks on the novel and the theme of homelessness.
You should work through the RUAE PPT which Mrs Nelson will add to MS Teams today, undertaking the tasks and the practice questions.
S3 are working on R.U.A.E. Pupils will find the text book on MS Teams and should complete all the exercises upto page 9 this week.
S2 are working on their presentations. They should use the Milestone 2 PPT which is available on MS Teams. They should choose either to talk about an inspirational person or for the Desert Island Disc presentation. There is a PPT on Desert Island discs which will help students to prepare this talk.
On Wednesday S2 have Literacy, this week 2.1-2.4 should work on the Level 3-4 R.U.A.E. book which is available on MS Teams in the Files Tab, then in the RUAE tab and then in the Text Book Tab. Students should work through pages 1-9 this week. 2.5-2.7 should have undertaken this work last week, if you were off then catch up with it this week.
